Departing from this understanding, Satria Muda Pertamina has become one of the most active teams in sharing knowledge in the world of basketball.
After traveling to various regions in Indonesia, finally this team with the characteristic blue color had the opportunity to share at their own home, Mahaka Square Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta last week.
And this time it was the turn of the skill and development coach who also has the new blue status, Will Jefferson, who took part in sharing his knowledge in the world of basketball. Coach Will himself has been around the world of coaching because there are quite a lot of new talents who have been born and have been polished by him.
“Fun was my first sentence when I got the opportunity to train them all today, besides that I really like their high enthusiasm for basketball. Because the willingness to learn and great energy are two things that will make them better in this sport," said Coach Will who was met on the sidelines of his coaching clinic.
That afternoon Will divided his class into two parts according to their respective ages. That's because the training methods for each age group are different. And according to him, with the right pattern, that's what will make them love basketball even more.
"Of course there are differences, we can't equate everything. Because each age group has its own abilities. With the right method, it will accelerate their absorption of knowledge and development," he continued.
Asked about whether he hopes to continue to have the opportunity to develop young basketball talents here, Will answered of course.
"I hope this coaching clinic is not the last for them because we know the more often we learn, the better. And I hope this will soon become a tradition both at Satria Muda and at Satria Muda Academy," concluded the man from Houston, United States.

"Actually, the main goal is so that our coaches at the Satria Muda Academy can absorb knowledge from coach Will. Starting from how he trains, provides materials, to the ways he polishes players of various ages. So it's not just the children who learn but the coaches also absorb his knowledge," said the man who is familiarly called Dodo.
This program is also Satria Muda's response to one of the IBL regulations that requires each team to have their own academy as a substitute for the draft in finding young players every season.
"That will later become part of our big plan at SM. And we are sure that with the many coaching clinics like this in the Satria Muda Academy, it will bring up new talents who of course do not rule out the possibility of becoming Satria Muda players in the future. Like Hans Abraham and Sandy Ibrahim who are still active in the world of professional basketball in Indonesia," he concluded.
