Satria Muda Pertamina (SM Pertamina) managed to recover after being defeated by Prawira by winning two away matches against Pacific Caesar Surabaya and Bali United last Sunday. SM Pertamina itself is determined to return to winning ways in order to close this season's break due to the Eid holiday in a better direction.

In the first game against Pacific, the SM Pertamina troops experienced difficulties in the first quarter. The pressure put on by young players like Daffa and experienced foreign players like Richardson and Hurt meant they were only nine points behind at half time.

However, Sandy Ibrahim et al finally found their rhythm in the second half and cruised to a landslide victory 107-87.

“We won over them because we were able to run the system well. Credit to Sandy, Juan, Bram because their shots were able to give us the lead until the game was over. "But we still have evaluation material in the form of turnovers, something that must be addressed immediately," said Coach Manu after the match.

Another match that was not easy was presented when SM Pertamina challenged Bali United at GOR Merpati Bali. By relying on speed and physicality, Bali United was able to hold off Manuel Pena's team until the second quarter was over. SM Pertamina was only able to get out of the pressure in the fourth quarter by relying on stabs and shots from Bram, Shaw and Myke

Also added were Juan, Erga, Sandy and Julian who were able to play effectively from the bench and contributed a total of 35 points. In this way, SM Pertamina was able to become the first team to beat them in Bali while maintaining their perfect record this season.

"There is always more motivation when I meet Bali United, maybe because I am Balinese so I feel like I want to prove that I can beat them. "Apart from that, I like the atmosphere of their supporters, even though it seems intimidating, it is good for training my mentality in the future," said Julian Chalias.

With this victory, SM Pertamina's record is now 8-3. This team from the city of Jakarta will compete again on April 20-21 at the Pertamina Arena (FR)
