Satria Muda Pertamina finally took a big step this season by replacing their foreign player LeBryan Nash (LB). This is their last change after releasing Wendell Lewis, Warren Washington and Randy Bell. This change itself was quite surprising to many parties because as is known Nash is one of the best foreign players in SMP this season.
“Honestly, this change is purely because we are reflecting on the results of the regular season, yes, with these 6 defeats we feel that we really need players with better and more consistent abilities in every game. But after that LB is a very talented player and we are happy to work with him this season,” said Satria Muda Pertamina head coach Youbel Sondakh.
“What is certain is that all of us here say thank you very much to LB, for all his hard work here because no matter what, he is also the one who has carried this team this far. We really respect him and hopefully he will have an even better career in the future,” concluded Youbel.
Gratitude was also expressed by the captain of SMP this season, Abraham Damar Grahita. The man from Bangka said that SMP's steps to reach the playoffs now certainly cannot be separated from the big role of LeBryan Nash.
"He is a very good and competitive player. A person who always encourages us all to give our all in every game. Thank you LB Nash for all the knowledge, always be successful and hopefully we can work together again in the future," concluded the player who is familiarly called Bram.
With this, SMP will have one foreign substitution slot left this season and of course must move quickly because according to the league operator's rules the last limit for foreign player substitutions is the last three games.
SMP itself will continue their journey by hosting Bali United and Prawira Bandung this week at their home ground, Britama Arena.
