The engine of Satria Muda Pertamina seems to be starting to heat up ahead of the return of IBL this week. This was seen when SM Pertamina managed to conquer one of their rivals, Prawira Bandung, in a trial match at the GOR C-Tra Prawira Arena Bandung yesterday. Appearing without one of their heritage players, Jarron Crump, in fact, Youbel Sondakh's team was still able to win with a score of 80-70.

"Yes, we are grateful that we were still able to win even though it was only a trial match because as we know Prawira is a strong team. Indeed, at the beginning of the match we were a bit behind because as usual we were still looking for rhythm because we also just came back from vacation and training was only about 1-2 days ago. So maybe when we met a scrimmage like this we were still a bit unfocused," he said.
"But yes, we tried to respond to this game and the result was that we were able to take control in the rest of the match and finally won," he continued.
Widy herself felt that her team's performance was not optimal in this match, it was seen from the many turnovers they made.
"Wow, it's clear that there are still many things we have to fix, especially regarding restoring the game-touch of each player. Because the trial clearly showed that there were some things missing in that regard and it's clear that we have to fix it as soon as possible because there is not much time plus the opponent we are facing, Hangtuah, is currently on a good trend. But I am sure we can and will perform like SM Pertamina, a team that is hungry for victory," he concluded confidently.
SM Pertamina itself will visit GOR Ciracas to face Amarta Hangtuah on April 12.
