Satria Muda looks increasingly serious about facing the 2024 IBL All Indonesian Cup which is only a matter of days away by bringing in two young and talented talents to their squad. The two names are Mario Davidson and Christian Tuwaidan or familiarly called Tibo
"They are players trained by Satria Muda who we hope can add depth to our squad. First, there is Christian Tuwaidan, he is a student at Klabat University and has just returned from defending PON on behalf of North Sulawesi. A player who is determined to have great energy. That's why we want to bring him to experience the atmosphere of the highest competition in the All Indonesian Cup," said Satria Muda Pertamina Team Manager Theo.
"Of course, the hope is that Christian can compete and gain the trust of Coach Youbel later,' continued Theo.
Then there is also Mario Davidson, a former Indonesian Patriot player and also one of the mainstay players of the Eagles basketball team at Pelita Harapan University (UPH). The player who is famous for his speed has also just returned after defending Central Java in PON last week.
"For Mario, he is a fostered player that we have been monitoring for the past few years and he is currently registered as a final semester student at UPH. I think a tournament with local players like this will be the right event for Mario to show his talent, besides of course hopefully his presence can be an additional blood for the SM youth squad," he hoped.
Mario himself when met after training with Satria Muda said that he felt very proud to be able to join a team as big as Satria Muda. A team that is indeed famous for its tradition of champions in the Indonesian basketball scene.
"This is a special opportunity for me to be in Satria Muda because not many young players have that opportunity and I can also learn a lot because SM is filled with the best players in the league. Hopefully with me here I can help SM to achieve the best and I as an individual can develop in the future," said Mario.
Mario and Christian themselves will use the numbers 24 and 25 to start their journey with Satria Muda Pertamina in the upcoming All Indonesian Cup.
