Karl Gloria, one of Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung's young players, said he can't wait for the new IBL season. He's also optimistic that SM will be a promising team next season, even though they will still be training without a complete squad until the end of December.
This is due to the large number of SM players who have been called up to the Indonesian National Basketball Team for the 2025 SEA Games.
"Personally, it doesn't matter how many people train as long as we all adhere to the coach's program, and that's what we're currently doing. Furthermore, the intensity of training has also increased because the players aren't yet complete," Karl said after a routine training session with SM.
Furthermore, the player with jersey number 11 also said that he is currently continuing to hone his skills and technique. He believes that this is the only way he can compete with other players in the upcoming season.
"Moreover, the regulations regarding foreign players change every year, so we have no choice but to prepare ourselves well. So whenever the coach needs me to play, I'm ready," he continued.
"Furthermore, I'm also motivated to earn the trust of the foreign players on the field. So, we local players aren't just playing as extras, but we also have to prove that we can play a vital role in every match," he concluded.
Satria Muda is currently finalizing their squad while also looking for foreign players for the upcoming season.
