Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung's new foreign player, Jalen Jones, said he feels at home in Bandung. The cool weather due to the rainy season, the clean air, and the abundance of trees are all factors. Although he hasn't lived in Bandung long, the Dallas native has already fallen in love with the atmosphere.
"Honestly, I feel very comfortable living here. This weather allows me to rest peacefully after training. The rain and the cold air are a great combination for me to relax and calm my mind. Because when the weather is hot here, it makes me more tempted to go outside, which of course impacts my rest time," he said after training at Ctra Arena Bandung.
Besides the atmosphere, Jalen also said he can't wait to explore the culinary delights of Bandung and the cities he will visit while competing with SM.
"Of course, I can't wait for it because I'm a big eater, haha. I love trying new foods, and I think Asia is a haven for delicious food. I've tried Asian food in the Philippines, and it's delicious. So, I don't think there's any problem with the food here," continued the former Dallas Mavericks player.
"Oh, I'm also a coffee lover, and I know Indonesia is one of the best coffee bean producers in the world. Of course, I can't wait to try it because coffee is my go-to drink in the morning and before training," he added.
Asked about adapting to his new teammates at Satria Muda, Jones said everything is going well and there are no issues.
"I know Satria Muda is a team with a winning tradition, so I understand that all the players who have arrived here are top players. And that's not wrong, because after almost a week of training with them, I can see that this team is full of potential. They're young, brave, and aggressive.
