Bandung, October 23, 2025 – Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung demonstrated its readiness for the new season by continuing concrete steps related to the club's relocation to the city that is now their home, Bandung. Through an event titled "Ngariung Jeung Satria Muda Bandung" (Mini Press Conference of Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung), held at GOR C-Tra Arena, the club introduced a number of strategic agendas as part of their preparation for the 2026 Indonesia Basketball League (IBL) competition.

Present as speakers were Adhitia Putra Herawan, Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, and from Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung, represented by Christian Ronaldo Sitepu, Managing Director, Youbel Sondakh, Head Coach, Theodore Wira Adi, Team Manager, and the long-renowned basketball legend of Bandung, Firmansyah, a former player of Panasia Indosyntec Bandung who contributed to championship titles for the city.

One of the initiatives introduced was the installation of history & champions journey banners displaying the history of Bandung's basketball—from Hadtex, Indonesian Champion 1994, Panasia Indosyntec Bandung, Indonesian Champion 1997, Panasia Indosyntec Bandung, Indonesian Champion 1998, and Prawira Harum Bandung 2023—at GOR C-Tra Arena. This is intended as a form of respect for Bandung's basketball legacy and a symbol of the club's bond with the city's sports culture. Furthermore, the management also announced plans for the revitalization of the main court's wooden floor at GOR C-Tra, which will use FIBA Level 1 specification portable flooring. This floor will be used as the training and match arena for Satria Muda Bandung starting next season, as well as for all sports enthusiasts in Bandung who use GOR C-Tra Arena.

Adhitia Putra Herawan, Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, expressed that Persib Bandung is ready to support Satria Muda Bandung for the upcoming season. “The presence of Satria Muda Bandung is part of the transformation of the sports ecosystem in Bandung. We at Persib do not see these as two separate entities, but as two major forces that both carry the name of this city, the City of Champions. The synergy between Persib and Satria Muda can strengthen Bandung's image as a sports city full of spirit, character, and strong pride in every sport," he said.

"My message to the people of Bandung is, let's welcome Satria Muda with pride and togetherness. This is not just about basketball or football, but about how we build Bandung as a big home for Indonesian sportspeople," added the figure often called Kang Adhit.

Christian Ronaldo Sitepu, Managing Director of Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung, stated that all preparations are being carried out gradually but measurably. He emphasized the importance of ensuring comprehensive readiness, both from the team side and the infrastructure side. According to him, Satria Muda does not just want to be present in Bandung but truly take root within it.

“We are now entering a more tangible phase. From facilities, team, to operations, everything is being prepared in Bandung. We want this transition to run naturally, not rushed, but certainly. Bandung is already home to Satria Muda, and now we will start occupying it soon," he revealed.

In addition to infrastructure, the next focus is the physical relocation of the team to Bandung. The management confirmed that starting December 2025, the team will train fully at C-Tra Arena, while also adjusting to the new atmosphere ahead of the first home game in January 2026.

Theodore Wira Adi, Team Manager of Satria Muda Pertamina Bandung, explained that all preparations are carried out by considering the team's needs and competition standards. He believes that the move to Bandung is not just logistics but a process of building a new routine that aligns with the city's spirit.

“The preparations are going well. We ensure that the dormitory, court, changing rooms, and all facilities are ready when the team starts training in December. The players are also enthusiastic; they feel that Bandung has a positive energy and will bring 'good fortune' to our club in the future. Our hope is that this new atmosphere can spread to their performance next season," said Theodore.

Bandung Basketball Legend, Firmansyah, expressed that his presence at the event was a form of support for Satria Muda Bandung. “I have heard the news that Satria Muda will now become a basketball club from the City of Bandung. This is certainly very good news for the development of basketball in this city. Satria Muda is known for its strong character and winning mentality, and I hope that energy can become a new spirit for Bandung basketball lovers. Let's welcome them as part of the extended family of Bandung sports.”

Regarding players, Youbel Sondakh also said that there is still an opportunity for young players, especially those from Bandung, to join the squad. “The player composition for the IBL All Indonesian Cup 2025 is still the same, but we are also looking for new talents, perhaps from Bandung itself. The Bandung atmosphere for the players so far has been very positive; the players feel excited and enthusiastic about defending the name of Bandung, and some have even started to feel at home living here. There is a new spirit growing in this team,” said Youbel.

The "Ngariung Jeung Satria Muda Bandung" event concluded with a tumpengan ceremony, as a form of gratitude for Satria Muda's journey in Bandung and a prayer for future steps. A warm and familial atmosphere was felt throughout the event, demonstrating how the club, community, and local media are now part of one ecosystem—the growing and achieving Bandung basketball ecosystem.
